Hard wired networked sensors
This site is located on a sports field at Carrum Downs in Victoria.
The trial site has the following features:
- Hard wired and completely concealed underground
- Networked back to data logger and irrigation controller
- Regulates irrigation controller
- Soil moisture, conductivity and temperature
Example data from Carrum Downs: sensor 12 is located on the left hand side of
the oval which is more sandy (free draining) than location of sensor 15 on the
right hand side of the oval. Installation is at day 0
where the reading is 0% wet (i.e. completely dry) in air before installing in
the ground.
Two rain events are shown which correlate with the output state of the rain sensor (1 = dry, 0 = wet).
